Legends Boucles Bastogne 2025

A Perfect Day in Bastogne
After several editions marked by rain and grey skies, the 2025 Legend Boucles Bastogne finally enjoyed perfect winter conditions. A crisp cold air, bright blue skies and frost-covered landscapes provided a stunning setting for one of Europe’s most beloved historic rally events.
From the first special stage of the morning to the final runs after dark, the action never stopped. Historic rally cars entertained thousands of spectators throughout the day, sliding through the Ardennes roads and delivering the unique spectacle that has made the Legend Boucles a true institution in Belgian motorsport.
The event also highlighted something that makes rallying in Belgium so special: its passionate fans. Despite freezing temperatures, huge crowds remained alongside the stages from dawn until late into the night. Wrapped in thick winter jackets, gathered around campfires and enjoying hot food and drinks, they patiently waited for each car to pass. Their enthusiasm and dedication are as much a part of the Legend Boucles as the cars themselves.
I stayed until the night stages, where the atmosphere became even more magical. Watching these legendary machines emerge from the darkness, their powerful auxiliary lights illuminating the road ahead, is one of the most unforgettable sights in rallying.
At the end of a near-perfect weekend, Cédric Cherain claimed his first overall victory at the Legend Boucles. The Belgian rally champion finished ahead of Bjorn Kenis and Stéphane Lefebvre, securing a memorable win in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.
These photographs capture the atmosphere, passion and beauty of a winter rally weekend that perfectly reflects the unique spirit of the Legend Boucles.
