Set against the unique backdrop of the Principality, the 2024 Monaco Historic Grand Prix once again delivered one of the most spectacular celebrations of motorsport heritage anywhere in the world. Under perfect blue skies and warm spring temperatures, the streets of Monaco welcomed an exceptional field of historic racing cars, proving once again why this event remains one of the most prestigious gatherings in historic motorsport.

As always, the level of competition was remarkable across every category, but one name stood out throughout the weekend: Michael Lyons. The British driver once again demonstrated his extraordinary talent behind the wheel of historic machinery, securing multiple victories and confirming his status as one of the standout figures of modern historic racing.

Monaco also welcomed some very special guests. Just as he had done in 2022, hometown hero Charles Leclerc returned to the paddock, delighting local fans and adding another connection between the principality’s racing past and present. The event was also attended by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, whose presence once again highlighted the deep connection between Monaco and motorsport history.

One of the most emotional moments of the weekend came through a remarkable tribute dedicated to Ayrton Senna, whose legacy remains inseparable from Monaco itself. Several cars representing the different chapters of his extraordinary career returned to the track, from his early karting days to the iconic McLaren Formula 1 machines, including the famous Ralt RT3 that marked an important step in his rise through junior categories.

Among them were his nephew Bruno Senna, former Formula 1 drivers Eddie Irvine, Thierry Boutsen and Stefan Johansson, each helping recreate the spirit of one of motorsport’s most unforgettable eras.
